Dr. Akis Tsekouras is the Cluster Lead of Mastercard Advisors for Central Eastern Europe. He is leading the largest team of specialized payments Advisors in the region, with more than 120 consultants who cover 15 countries in the region as well as global projects with a special focus on Middle East and Europe. 

He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from University of Athens. He has more than 18 years of experience as a strategy consultant in the area of banking, having worked with Mastercard Advisors, Accenture and McKinsey & Company. During his career, he has consulted major banking institutions, across more than 20 countries, in digital and product strategy, business process and operating model reengineering as well as in the implementation of large scale IT and digital transformation programs.
