Important Notice

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the CFS – Cyprus Fintech Summit and Business & Investment Forum, which will take place on the 12th and 13th of November 2026 in Nicosia, Cyprus, the use of the official website, attendance at all associated activities, and all arrangements for sponsorships, exhibitors, speakers, delegates, and media representatives.

By registering for, attending, sponsoring, exhibiting, speaking, or otherwise engaging with the Cyprus Fintech Summit, Business and Investment Forum and related events, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.Definitions

1.1For the purposes of these Terms:

  • “Event” means any conference, summit, forum, investment forum, networking event, opening ceremony, closing ceremony, awards ceremony, workshop, roundtable, podcast recording, webinar, meeting, reception or other event organised, hosted, promoted or managed by CFS organizers, including but not limited to the Cyprus Fintech Summit and the Cyprus Investment Forum, whether conducted in person, virtually or in a hybrid format.
  • “Participant” means any attendee, delegate, sponsor, exhibitor, speaker, moderator, panellist, media representative, contractor, supplier or guest attending or participating in an Event.
  • “Sponsor” means any organization purchasing a sponsorship package.
  • “Website” refers to the official Cyprus Fintech Summit website (cyprusfintechsummit.com).

2.Acceptance of Terms

2.1By accessing the Website or participating in the Event, Sponsors, Participants and attendees acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

2.2The CFS organizers reserve the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without any prior notice. Updated versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Website. Your continued use of our Services and this Site following any such modification constitutes your acceptance of these modified Terms.

2.3The official language of the event and these Terms and Conditions is English.

3.Website Use

3.1Participants shall use the Website lawfully and responsibly.

3.2Participants shall not:

  • Introduce viruses, malware, trojans, worms or harmful code;
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or databases;
  • Interfere with Website functionality;
  • Use the Website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

3.3Any breach may result in immediate suspension of access and referral to competent authorities.

4.Event Registration

4.1Registration is subject to acceptance by the CFS organizers.

4.2The CFS organizers reserve the right to reject, suspend or cancel any registration where necessary to protect the integrity, security, reputation or operation of the Event.

4.3Admission may be refused where payment has not been received in full.

4.4Participants are responsible for ensuring that all registration information provided is accurate and complete.

5.Event Standards

5.1The Event is a high-level international fintech gathering attended by policymakers, regulators, government officials, financial institutions, investors, founders, executives, academics, media representatives and industry leaders.

5.2Participants shall conduct themselves professionally, respectfully and lawfully at all times.

5.3The CFS organizers reserve the right to remove any individual whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, intoxicated, offensive or otherwise detrimental to the Event. No refund shall be provided in such circumstances.

6.Sponsor, Speaker and Representative Obligations

6.1Sponsors acknowledge that participation in keynote presentations, panel discussions, podcasts, fireside chats, media interviews, networking functions and official ceremonies reflects upon both the Sponsor and the Event. Sponsors therefore shall ensure that all representatives acting on their behalf behave professionally and respectfully.

6.2 Attendance Obligations

Sponsors are responsible for ensuring that all representatives attend their scheduled sessions, speaking engagements, networking events and media commitments.

If a Sponsor representative is unable to attend, they must notify the CFS organizers in writing as soon as reasonably practicable and provide details of any proposed replacement.

6.3 Speaker Obligations & Substitutions

The CFS organizers reserve the right to approve or reject any proposed substitute speaker.

6.4 Dress Code

All Sponsor representatives participating in keynote presentations, panels, podcasts, media interviews, networking receptions, opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, and any other official functions shall adhere to a professional business dress code.

Business professional or formal business attire is required unless otherwise communicated by the CFS organizers.

The CFS organizers may deny participation in public-facing activities where attire is deemed inappropriate.

6.5 Content Preparation

Sponsors shall provide biographies, photographs, presentations, logos and other requested materials by the deadlines communicated by the CFS organizers.

Failure to comply may result in exclusion from promotional materials, event publications or digital platforms.

6.6 Media Commitments

Where sponsorship benefits include interviews, podcasts, recordings or media appearances, Sponsor representatives shall use reasonable efforts to attend such activities.

Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of such benefits.

6.7 Regulatory Compliance

Sponsors and speakers shall ensure that all booth and speaker presentations, statements and materials comply with applicable financial services, investment promotion, anti-money laundering, sanctions, consumer protection and advertising laws and regulations.

7.Confidentiality

7.1Participants may obtain access to confidential or proprietary information during the Event.

7.2‘Confidential information’ shall mean any oral, written or visual and/or other tangible forms of information, material or know-how regarding any data, process, business plan, specifications, technique, program, business information or other proprietary information relating to the Cyprus Fintech Summit or Forum and/or its affiliated entities, and disclosed, directly or indirectly during and after the Cyprus Fintech Summit events.

7.3Such information shall remain confidential and shall not be disclosed, reproduced, distributed or used without prior written consent.

8.Financial and Professional Advice Disclaimer

8.1The Event may include presentations, discussions, product demonstrations, investment discussions and industry commentary.

8.2All content is provided for informational purposes only. Nothing presented during the Event constitutes any form of financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, regulatory or professional advice.

9.Programme Changes

9.1The CFS organizers reserve the right to modify the following without liability:

  • Event/Forum/Opening and Closing ceremony dates and venues
  • Event/Forum/Opening and Closing ceremony formats, topics, agenda and/or session timings
  • Speakers, panellists, moderators
  • Digital and Social media platforms

10.Liability and Insurance

10.1Participation is at the Participant’s own risk.

10.2Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance coverage, including travel, health, liability and property insurance where applicable.

10.3To the maximum extent permitted by law, the CFS organizers shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, special or economic losses arising from participation in the Event.

10.4Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

11.Property and Venue Damage

11.1Participants remain solely responsible for their personal property.

11.2The CFS organizers accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage in regard to personal or company property.

11.3Sponsors, exhibitors and attendees shall be liable for any damage caused to venue premises, equipment or third-party property.

11.4Decorations, displays and promotional materials must comply with venue regulations, health and safety requirements and fire protection standards. The CFS organizers reserve the right to remove non-compliant or potentially hazardous materials.

11.5Sponsors must remove exhibition materials immediately following the Event. Failure to do so may result in storage, removal or disposal costs being charged to the Sponsor.

12.Data Protection and GDPR

12.1The CFS organizers shall process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

12.2Further information is contained in the Event Privacy Policy.

12.3Where consent has been obtained, participant information may be shared with Sponsors, exhibitors and event partners for networking and business engagement purposes.

13.Intellectual Property

13.1All Event content, branding, materials, recordings, publications, presentations and digital assets remain the property of the CFS organizers.

13.2Participants may not reproduce, distribute, broadcast, publish or commercially exploit any Event content without prior written consent.

14.Payments and Refunds Policy

Sponsorships

14.1A signed sponsorship agreement constitutes a binding contractual commitment.

14.2The CFS organizers use third-party providers to provide secure online payment services. The use of those services is subject to their own terms and conditions and privacy policy (provided on their own websites).

14.3Verification of payment for the purpose of resolving possible disputes about the purchase of sponsorship packages may be requested.

Event Sponsorship Payment Terms

14.4100% of payment is due 30 days before the Event.

14.5The CFS organizers reserve the right to replace Sponsoring companies and/or suspend Sponsorship package benefits where payment remains outstanding.

14.6It is not possible to change the person or organisation liable for the payment.

14.7Late Payment Consequences:

  • Sponsorship and Speaker opportunities shall be withdrawn.
  • Booth allocations shall be revoked.
  • Marketing activities may be suspended.
  • Access credentials may be withheld.

14.8Cancellation by Sponsor:

  • More than 60 days before the Event: 50% retained.
  • Less than 30 days before the Event: 100% non-refundable.

14.9Non-attendance does not release Sponsors from payment obligations.

Tickets

14.10Discounted tickets are valid only with authorized promotions, if applicable.

14.11Ticket refund requests must be submitted in writing and are only possible up to 14 days before the Event.

14.12No ticket refunds will be granted for non-attendance.

14.13Fully paid tickets may be transferred up to 14 days before the Event.

14.14Updated participant information must be provided to the CFS organizers prior to the Event.

14.15The tickets purchased are for personal use or that of your business only, and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances.

14.16Unauthorized resale is prohibited.

14.17The CFS organizers reserve the right to cancel any ticket sold in breach of these Terms.

14.18Participants may be required to present government-issued identification or corporate credentials.

15.Marketing and Media Rights

15.1Photography, filming, recording and livestreaming may occur throughout the Event.

15.2By attending, Participants grant the CFS organizers an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to photograph, record, film, reproduce, publish, distribute and otherwise use their image, likeness, voice, appearance and participation.

15.3Such materials may be used directly by the CFS organizers and/or third parties in:

  • Marketing campaigns
  • Promotional materials
  • Press releases
  • Social media
  • Websites
  • Broadcasts
  • Future event promotions

15.4Participants waive any right to compensation, royalties or approval.

15.5Sponsors grant the CFS organizers a non-exclusive license to use approved names, logos and trademarks for Event promotion and reporting purposes.

16.Event Postponement

16.1If the Event is postponed, registrations and sponsorships shall automatically transfer to the rescheduled date.

16.2No refund shall be payable solely due to postponement.

16.3The CFS organizers shall not be responsible for travel, accommodation or related expenses.

17.Event Cancellation

17.1The CFS organizers shall not be liable for cancellation, postponement, interruption or modification of any Event arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control.

17.2Force majeure events include:

  • Natural disasters
  • Extreme weather
  • Pandemic or epidemic events
  • Government restrictions
  • Travel bans
  • Civil unrest
  • Terrorism
  • War
  • Cyberattacks
  • Internet outages
  • Utility failures
  • Venue unavailability
  • Labour disputes

18.Anti-Bribery, AML and Sanctions Compliance

18.1Participants shall comply with all applicable anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and other fintech-related legislation.

18.2The CFS organizers reserve the right to terminate participation where reasonable concerns arise regarding compliance.

19.Severability

19.1If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable.

20.Governing Law & Jurisdiction

20.1These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.

20.2Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
